I’m sitting
on the porch swing,
thinking of how
he and I
used to
sit and swing
together.
The stars are duller
than and old pocketknife.
They used to sparkle
like five-carat diamonds.
I wonder,
is heaven
up in the stars?
Beyond the stars?
Can he see them
like I see them?
Is he wishing?
like I’m wishing?

Libre lang naman ang mangarap, eh sagarin na natin. Sweet thoughs and nice imagery for this poem, bunso. Kanino ka kaya nagmana, hindi naman siguro sa akin, since, hindi ako gaanong at ease sa free verse.
ReplyDeleteI love to look at the stars and wonder what's beyond there, I still like the idea of the stories told when I was young and innocent.. not the reality of the moon and mars' appearance,as described by NASA.. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are maybe so much inspired for you to write such a good poem. I wonder who gave you an inspiration?
