Amaze with Your Gaze

Our eyes give us away, so we'll just 'fess up. Too many of us overlook eye shadow. Don't let color confusion hold you back from beauty. You can do no wrong! Eye shadow is really just an extension of your personality, so accessorize your eyes with expressive style. Rich, earthy shades show them how grounded you are. A stroke of green exposes your romantic streak. Don't save your feelings for a powwow with the girls. Lift your lids and prepare for the stares.

Writing Ideas Needs To Be Refreshed

a girl writing something
Writing, originally uploaded by Pascal Maramis.
Since my high school days, I've always wanted to be a great writer. I did everything I could to learn how to write, to construct paragraphs, essays and a lot more. All my hardships were all paid off when I was known as the Editor-in-Chief in our school's magazine. I have also joined an essay writing contest and I didn't have much hope that I'll take the trophy, but, I did and it was one of the happiest and very achieving moment of my life.

To Nay Likha: Hang in There, Hold on, and Keep Your Spirits Up!

If you ever need some extra encouragement, if you would like to be reminded once in a while that you're so special, I want you to remember this... and I hope it brings you a smile.

Never forget what a treasure you are to us, your TFD family.
Try to realize how important you are in the eyes of our world.

No matter where you go, my hopes and my heart travel beside you every step of the way...
And I know, even though difficulties come to everyone, it isn't fair when they hang around longer than they should.

If I could wish the clouds away, the welcoming breeze of a brand new day would warm your life right this very minute.
But until a new day comes along, I know that you'll always be strong enough to see things through.

Wishful Thinking

wishes do come true, wishful thinking, wish,
Wishes come true, originally uploaded by ♥Pati.
I’m sitting

on the porch swing,

thinking of how

he and I

used to

sit and swing

together.

The stars are duller

than and old pocketknife.

They used to sparkle

like five-carat diamonds.

I wonder,

is heaven

up in the stars?

Beyond the stars?

Can he see them

like I see them?

Is he wishing?

like I’m wishing?

I have number of blogs to update daily, earning sites that I joined and some other writing sites like Expertscolumn but there’s nothing really like Triond. I started writing in Triond way back January of 2011 and then my interest in writing rose up. I’ve made blogs and websites then left Triond.

Confidence: How To Succeed at Being Yourself by Dr. Alan Loy McGinnis

According to this book of Dr. Alan Loy McGinnis, some people are magnets for success. They know how to "catch on the wing." Their only secret is confidence; certainty about their personal worth.

"Can you gain more self-confidence? Can you change? "Yes," says Dr. McGinnis. "You can gain a healthy self-confidence."

I am very much aware that I have a very low self-esteem. Oh! Erase that... One of the things Dr. McGinnis mentioned in this book is to never look down yourself and never ever think that you have such problem in yourself.

Dr. McGinnis also illustrated in this book to let go of the unwanted memories of the past and to forget and forgive. Some of us have issues with our parents right? Dr. McGinnis also said to forgive our parents and just look at the bright side. We may have commit something wrong or argue with our parents, they will just hope for our own sake, ALWAYS! We should love our parents a thousand times than they love us. Yes, they get annoying sometimes, but always remember that we are much more annoying than them but they never gave up on us. It is a big factor in gaining self-confidence.
Upon reading this book, I feel like I've met a lot of people. Amazing people! People who got out of their shell and they succeeded in the careers they chose to have. Mostly, they are Dr. McGinnis' patients who were so down and aren't confident about themselves yet they managed to look at the bright side and transform themselves into who they are today. Successful in their chosen fields!

Member Profile: EC

I am a girl who dreams high. A girl who was once afraid to take risks, a girl who loves her family and a girl who’s gained confidence to live life to its fullest.

On Choosing to Write Online

I decided to write online for two reasons: (One) To practice my English and (two) to practice my writing skills.

Where Readers Can Find Her Work

Well, most of the time, I write on my blogs and some websites. (www.marieclara.info & marienternal.blogspot.com)

Regarding Works in Print

Still working on that.

What Makes Her Happy

What makes me happy? Being so busy, I guess. Oh, there’s one more thing that makes me happy. Seeing the things that I’ve accomplished - my websites!

Her Worst Pet Peeves

Making me WAIT! I’m so impatient!

Her Goals

My goals would be, of course, having my very own office and a publishing house that will be named after my late grandfather because he is such an inspiration to me.

Length of Time She Has Been Part of TFD

Since it started.

Why She Likes TFD

Because the members are friendly, and TFD feels just like a family.

Suggestions for The Filipino Diaspora (TFD)

The group needs more cooperation and it needs to be more alive, more into things.

Her Own Mission Statement as Part of the Group

In my own opinion, every member of TFD should have a daily routine. All of us are busy with our own lives, of course. But, we should not forget that we have a responsibility to this group since we agreed to be part of it.

I am guilty as charged because, I, myself have been “dead” to the group for a while. But now, I have made it a daily routine already, and I added TFD as one of my “Must-Do” things every day.

Message to the Readers

First, I would like to thank every single one of them for sticking with us this long. The group has been through a lot. And I’m proud to say we’re still here… planning everything out to make the outcome of TFD a much better one than before. And second, I hope you will still stick with us while TFD exists and support us in everything we’re up to. We’re so looking forward for your support! ♥

Hair's Role

Hair's Role
hair, originally uploaded by livanich.
A fewer people were actually born with picture perfect hair, that is to exclude me. As we grow old, our hair naturally grows with us, curly, wavy, or straight our hair has become an integral part of our life. Typically Asians have black hair while Westerners have blonde hair. Scientifically speaking, hair is an important part of our bodily system; it serves as protection in preventing foreign matters to enter our body. It also helps us to keep warm. Aside from that, our hair adds up to the aesthetic value of a person, oh hey even dogs are groomed right?

That Sudden Emptiness

There are things bothering me lately. Questions unanswered, unstable emotions and misunderstood thoughts. Does this makes me fragile? I don't know.

I'm trying to cure myself from this so-called "illness". It's not easy to live behind these strange shadows. I'm trying to take a step forward. A step that I believe will change me for the better.

I've been asking my friends around some random questions and to my surprise, I've find all of their answers very useful to me. I'm also telling myself some good thoughts because I hope that somehow it will change the bitterness and sadness that I'm feeling.

Photo grabbed @ Facebook
This time, I'll sure make a move. This is not only for myself but also for my family, friends and everyone around me that get affected every time I'm not feeling me.

Blogging Priorities

blogging, blogger,
Blogging the Election, originally uploaded by Red Mum.
Are you a blogger? If so, you probably know what to do to gain readers and their respect. If you still don’t, I gues this things I will mention in a while might help.

When your blog is already up and running, it isa great achievement if you gain followers, readers and also read some of their comments, suggestions and etc., right?

Due to my work, I was introduced to blogging and I was happy when I set my first one, but as days passed by and I keep posting but no one reads it and no one leaves a comment too. That’s then I realize that when you blog, you have responsibilities and priorities to do.

And here are some things that I learned:

  • Visit other blogs, regularly (if possible).
  • Read their post and understand it.
  • Leave your comment that is relevant to the post.
  • Ask politely if he/she could visit yours too.

What Were You Thinking When You Start Blogging?

All I want is to have an open diary. I just like to express everything I'm feeling and thinking to anyone who cares to read it. But, that changed when I saw an episode of Mel & Joey about blogging. The owner of YugaTech was featured there, and he talked about how to make money by just blogging.

Another Way of Improving Personality

mood, improvement, personality,
M for Mood disorders., originally uploaded by Amy Spanos.
Your personality can be immeasurably improved by study, by cultivation of positive characteristics and personal control of emotions.

Each weekend write down one constructive point that you will work on the following week. Make it your text for the week. Check yourself up carefully, honestly, and faithfully. Remember, no one can help you as much as yourself, and you have no one to account to but yourself. So don’t be afraid to get tough with yourself…it may be your last chance.

Music Is Another Way to Improve Personality

Many workers are unusually sensitive and easily offended by unthinking managers. There are people who wear their feelings on their coat sleeves, where they are unprotected and a silly develop a jumpy, neurotic, erratic make-up. While it is true we may dislike association with them, and lose the free – and easy attitude which automatically makes for pleasant relations, we must nevertheless exert ourselves to overcome any repugnance and “go out” to them.

Voice in My Heart

The soft wind came up,

Just like a voice calling my name

I heard something different,
something new, something beautiful to my ear.

I look around and take a glimpse in my heart. Then I found you there.
Calling me out and Saying the sweetest words I’d like to hear.
I Love You.

By the time I close my eyes,
I always see you there.

The same place where I treasured you.

In my HEART.

Today's Business

business, strategy, hopes,
Business, originally uploaded by Constructed Space.

In business today, you should certainly go out of your way to get along with the people who work with you or for you. No matter what echelon you rate, the workers below you are entitled to your constant thoughtfulness and consideration. You never know when someone in your department or elsewhere will come up with ideas or suggestions that may be extremely valuable to you. But only if you make him feel that he may talk to you freely. That is where a good personality enters the picture and frequently decides the difference between good and bad human relations.
